What are the symptoms of pregnancy?
Symptoms of pregnancy may include missing your period, a short period, nausea or vomiting, tiredness, frequent urination and breast tenderness or swelling. Some or all of these symptoms may be present during pregnancy and may not start to occur until the 7th week. If you think that you are pregnant, you may first want to take a home pregnancy test. If the test is positive it is essential to make an appointment with a health care clinic to make sure you are pregnant. If the test is negative, you may want to wait another week and take another test. If that test is negative but you still have not started your period you should make an appointment to see a doctor. The doctor or nurse will do a physical exam and take a urine sample for a pregnancy test.
How far along am I?
To figure out how many weeks pregnant you are, count the weeks starting with the first day of your last period through today. This will give you an idea of how far along you are into your pregnancy. You may also find it helpful to use an online pregnancy calculator.
